Pursue excellence.
Setting ambitious standards keeps me questioning what's possible rather than accepting existing limits.
01 / About
A desire to challenge myself and explore what's possible has shaped much of my life. That ambition has shaped my approach to business, physical performance and the experiences I pursue beyond both.

The fourth generation
My introduction to the family business came at 13, when my father offered me a deal: if I wanted to go on the school ski trips, I'd have to earn them by working in the factory.
I spent my school holidays working across different departments, learning the business from the ground up. The arrangement paid for two ski trips, but it also taught me the value of hard work and the relationship between effort and reward. Those lessons have stayed with me ever since.
I later completed a master's degree in Business Management at the University of Edinburgh before joining the family business full-time.
Today, as the fourth generation to lead Wm Clark & Son, my focus is on building its next chapter, respecting the foundations laid over the past century while embracing innovation, technology and new ways of thinking to shape its future.

Beyond the factory
Sport has always been part of my life. I was a naturally capable runner growing up, but in my teens I developed a passion for strength training that eventually led me into competitive powerlifting during university.
For several years, strength took priority and running fell away. In 2021, I rediscovered my enjoyment of endurance sport, this time with a different ambition: to see how far I could develop my running without compromising the strength I'd spent years building.
Today, that pursuit has taken me to a 245kg deadlift, a 4:46 mile and mountain ultramarathons across Europe. What interests me most is the challenge of progressing across disciplines that often demand opposing adaptations.
Beyond the numbers, it's also opened the door to extraordinary experiences, from racing through the Scottish Highlands and Alps to cycling the mountains of southern Spain.
The performance record
The connecting principle
The disciplines may differ, but the principles behind them remain remarkably consistent.
Setting ambitious standards keeps me questioning what's possible rather than accepting existing limits.
Whether in business or performance, I'm interested in questioning conventional approaches, finding better solutions and making decisions with purpose.
I don't believe excellence in one area of life should require sacrificing ambition in another. I'm driven to discover how far different pursuits can be taken together.
